Finding Purpose Through Pain
What began as one woman's search for understanding blossomed into a movement of connection and healing.
When Chrissy received her diagnosis, she discovered that medical information was plentiful, but genuine community was scarce. The clinical facts couldn't address the emotional weight of her journey, the strain on relationships, or the challenge to her sense of self.
CHRISSY'S JOURNEY
My diagnosis felt like being set adrift in unfamiliar waters.

Doctors could tell me what was happening in my body, but not how to navigate the grief, the uncertainty, or the countless 'what ifs.' I started searching for others who understood—not just the medical terminology, but the lived experience. That search revealed a profound need for spaces where people of color could share both their struggles and their triumphs.

What started as a cry out for community grew into me creating structured support groups, educational resources, and eventually, the organization you see today.
